| Remember
these car-rental rules |
Age
limits: Most rental-car companies require you to be at least 25
years old to rent a car.
Credit/debit cards: Most rental-car companies require a
credit card, or a debit card featuring the
MasterCard or
Visa logos, to make your car-rental reservation. Although some
rental-car companies do not apply these car-rental rules, you may
want to check with the rental-car company first, before you
reserving a rental car.
Proof of insurance: Many rental-car companies also require
you to provide proof of insurance when you pick up your car rental.
If you forget your proof of insurance -- or don't have car insurance
-- you may have to pay for the rental-car company's insurance.
Remember that some credit cards automatically provide car-rental
insurance as a service to their cardholders. Check with your credit
card company for details. |
